Buffon dismisses talk of move to Man City

Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has laughed off reports linking him with a 70million euro transfer to Manchester City.

City's new Abu Dhabi-based owners, the United Group for Development and Investment, broke the British transfer record to sign Robinho and the chances are more big names will follow when the transfer window opens again in January.

But the Juventus number one, who is currently with the Italy team preparing for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Cyprus, claims he will not be one of them.

'It's a journalist's fantasy,' said Buffon. 'If an offer like that one arrived, I believe Juve would look at the numbers. But I doubt it would ever arrive.'

Juve paid Parma £31million for Buffon in 2001 and the 30-year-old is under contract at the Stadio Olimpico until 2013.
