Ribery back training on comeback trail

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has returned to training for the first time since tearing an ankle ligament while playing for France at Euro 2008. The 25-year-old underwent surgery on his left ankle over the summer after suffering the injury early in France's final group game against Italy, which they lost 2-0. But the former Marseille man trained with his club-mates on Thursday as he stepped up his recovery. Bayern coach Jurgen Klinsmann told the club's official website: 'We are working every day with much zest on Franck. He is getting sharper and sharper and is feeling more stable.' Klinsmann added Ribery should be ready for a return to Bundesliga action by 'the end of the month'.
