Inler signs new contract with Udinese

Switzerland international Gokhan Inler has signed a contract extension with Udinese, ending speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal.

The 24-year-old is now tied to the Serie A club until the end of the 2012/13 campaign, the club confirmed.

'Inler has decided to continue with the Udinese project,' said Udinese director Pietro Leonardi.

'Our relationship with Inler will continue until 2013.'

Inler is delighted to be staying with the Bianconeri.

'I never had any doubts,' he said. 'From the first day I was certain I would remain at Udinese.

'I want to play a great season and my aim is to do better than last year. I believe this team is much stronger and there is no lack of enthusiasm.'
