Korea's Park Chu-young set for Monaco deal

SEOUL, Sept 1 (Reuters) - FC Seoul striker Park Chu-young is close to sealing a multi-year deal with French club AS Monaco, the South Korean international's team and management agency said on Monday.

The 23-year-old Park, who played in the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany, was once one of the leading scorers in South Korea's professional K-League but has struggled with form and injuries over the past two years.

'The transfer fee is likely to be about two million euros ($2.94 million) for a three to four-year contract,' an official with his management agency told Reuters.

Park was likely to hold negotiations over the final details of the deal in France on Monday and would also undergo a medical, the official said.
