FC Seoul deny Wigan bid for Park Chu-young

FC Seoul manager Senol Gunes has dismissed reports that Wigan have lodged a bid for striker Park Chu-young.

Earlier in the week Latics boss Steve Bruce revealed they were trying to bring the South Korea international to England.

Gunes, who led Turkey to the semi-finals of the 2002 World Cup, claimed that it was news to him.

'I haven't heard anything,' Gunes said in Seoul. 'All I know is that Park Chu-young attended training today and there is a big chance that he will play at the weekend.

'Let's not talk about what may happen and talk about what is happening. There are other players who want to move abroad, not just Park.'
