Tottenham full-back Gareth Bale has signed a new four-year contract to commit himself to White Hart Lane until 2012.
The 19-year-old Wales full-back was offered new terms to the deal he signed when he arrived from Southampton a year ago.
A statement from Spurs read: 'Gareth Bale has signed a new contract that will see him commit his future to the club until 2012.'
Bale made a positive start to his career at Spurs but was injured in a tackle with Birmingham's Fabrice Muamba at the start of December and was eventually ruled out for the rest of the campaign.
He joins Michael Dawson and Jermaine Jenas among the players to agree new deals this summer but Robbie Keane has left and Dimitar Berbatov is expected to depart as well.
