Udinese warn Arsenal off bid for Inler

Udinese have insisted Gokhan Inler is not for sale despite reports linking him with a move to Arsenal this summer.

The Serie A club's general director Pietro Leonardi was responding to comments made by Inler's representative Dino Lamberti, who reportedly claimed he was planning to meet Arsenal to discuss a possible move for the Switzerland international.

'Enough talk about Inler,' said Leonardi. 'His agent and I have already said it but I will say it once and for all: Inler is not for sale.'

Inler has been a revelation since moving to Italy from FC Zurich last summer and his performances at Euro 2008 have led to him being linked with several top European clubs.

The 24-year-old has been tipped for a £10million move to the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger searches for midfield reinforcements.

Inler is under contract with the Friuli outfit until June 2012.
