Eintracht Frankfurt have handed a three-year contract to midfielder Zlatan Bajramovic, who is sidelined until October due to injury. The Bosnian's contract with Schalke expired last month and he left the Royal Blues after three years with the club. A toe operation means he cannot play again until October at the earliest, but Eintracht have taken a gamble on the 28-year-old. Bajramovic has played a total of 128 games in Germany between Schalke, St Pauli and Freiburg and he leaves Gelsenkirchen with a touch of bitterness. 'I would have liked to have stayed at Schalke,' he told Kicker magazine. 'Obviously I have been injured for a long time, but other clubs have still extended contracts of injured or ill players. 'I would have liked to be given at least a one-year contract.' Bajramovic will be officially presented as Eintracht's new number eight at a press conference on Thursday.
