Bare set to leave Gamba for Al Ahli

Gamba Osaka's Brazilian forward Bare is set to leave the J. League club to join Al Ahli of the United Arab Emirates, the Japanese media reported on Wednesday.

'The annual salary offered for him is in a different class,' Gamba president Kikuo Kanamori was quoted as saying in Japanese sports daily Sports Hochi.

'He has a strong will (to join them), too. We'd let him go with a good grace.'

Bare is under a three-year contract with Gamba, but the Emirates club is reportedly offering Bare 500 million Japanese Yen while paying the north Osaka club a transfer fee of 1 billion Japanese Yen.

Bare has scored 10 goals, the second highest in Division One, in his 18 appearances so far this season after joining from Ventforet Kofu at the start of the year.

The 26-year-old was expected to take a key role for Gamba's quests for the J.League and the Asian Champions League titles.
