Midfielder Garcia released by Real Madrid
Real Madrid have agreed to terminate the contract of Uruguayan international midfielder Pablo Garcia. The much-travelled Garcia, 31, joined Madrid from Osasuna in 2005 following spells with clubs in Uruguay and Italy, but after just one year at the Bernabeu he joined Celta Vigo on loan before spending last season at Real Murcia. Madrid said in a statement: 'Real Madrid and Pablo Garcia have reached an agreement to rescind the Uruguayan player's contract, leaving him unattached to the whites. 'Real Madrid want to thank the player for his services to the club and wish him the best sporting success.'
