The Charleston Battery knocked FC Dallas out of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Tuesday night with a convincing 3-1 win. The Battery advances to the semifinal of the competition for the third time in the franchise's 16-year history. Lazo Alavanja, Ian Fuller and Randi Patterson scored for Charleston, in a game that was interrupted due to weather.
Charleston will host the semifinal against Seattle on Tuesday, August 12.
The other semifinal will feature D.C. United against the New England Revolution.
