MADRID, July 6 (Reuters) - Atletico Madrid have agreed to sign France goalkeeper Gregory Coupet from Olympique Lyon for the next two seasons, the Primera Liga club said on Sunday.
The experienced 35-year-old, who represented France at Euro 2008 and has been capped 34 times, helped Lyon to win seven consecutive league titles between 2002 and 2008.
He will be presented on Tuesday, the club said on their website.
Coupet joins Czech Republic defender Tomas Ujfalusi, Netherlands defender John Heitinga, French striker Florent Sinama Pongolle and Brazilian midfielder Paulo Assuncao as new recruits at the Calderon.
Atletico are in the third qualifying round of the Champions League after finishing fourth in the Primera Liga last season.
