Ajax sign Serbian striker Sulejmani

Ajax have agreed a 16.25million euros fee for the transfer of forward Miralem Sulejmani from Eredivisie rivals Heerenveen. The 19-year-old Serbia international - one of new coach Marco van Basten's main summer targets - agreed personal terms with the Amsterdam outfit earlier this week. 'We have a deal with the player, correct,' Ajax technical director Danny Blind told Voetbal International on Thursday. 'It's now a case of the clubs coming to an agreement. Those negotiations are still under way.' Heerenveen had stressed on several occasions they did not expect Sulejmani to be at the Amsterdam ArenA next season, but a fee was agreed on Friday evening. Sulejmani scored 15 goals in 34 matches for Heerenveen last term.
