Tomasson's arrival ruffles Feyenoord feathers

Feyenoord have reassured striker Andwele Slory he is part of the club's plans despite handing his shirt to new signing Jon Dahl Tomasson.

Tomasson signed from Villarreal on a free transfer this week and was given the number 11 shirt, which last season belonged to Slory.

'Feyenoord no longer want me,' Slory told AD/RD.

However, the club's technical director, Peter Bosz, said: 'He really is part of our plans. Slory is a good player.

'But he had an unlucky season and was injured early on. Then when he recovered, the team were playing very well.'

Midfielder Danny Buys is also considering his future at the club after his number seven jersey was handed to Denny Landzaat.

'It shows you are not part of the coach's plans,' said Buys. 'I think it is 99.9% certain I will be gone before September.'
