Romanian Radoi to miss rest of tournament
ST GALLEN, Switzerland, June 14 (Reuters) - Romania midfielder Mirel Radoi will miss the rest of Euro 2008 after receiving a nasty injury against Italy.
'He will not play any more at Euro 2008. He will undergo surgery tomorrow and hopefully all will go well,' team spokesman Paul Zaharia told Reuters on Saturday.
Radoi has a broken nose and also needs eye surgery.
He received the injuries in an aerial collision with team mate Razvan Rat during Friday's 1-1 draw against Italy in Zurich.
Striker Ciprian Marica returned to training on Saturday after he was ruled out of the game against the world champions with a head injury following another aerial collision with team mate Daniel Niculae in training last week.
Romania will reach the quarter-finals with victory over Netherlands in their final Group C match on Tuesday.
A draw would also be enough if France and Italy drew the same day.
