Milan offload striker Gilardino to Fiorentina

FLORENCE, May 28 (Serie A) - Fiorentina have completed the signing of Italy forward Alberto Gilardino from AC Milan. The 25-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the Viola reportedly worth 1.65million euros a season. An official statement on the Fiorentina website read: 'Fiorentina can reveal that they have definitively required the sporting rights of the attacker Alberto Gilardino from AC Milan. 'Alberto Gilardino will be officially presented to the press tomorrow at 12.30 (CET) at a press conference at the Artemio Franchi stadium in Florence.' The move brings to an end a three-year spell in Milan for Gilardino. This season Fiorentina beat the Rossoneri to the fourth and final Champions League spot in Serie A.
