Drogba: I could stay at Chelsea next season
Chelsea star Didier Drogba has revealed he could still be at Stamford Bridge next season.
The Ivory Coast frontman declared in October that this would be his last season at Chelsea, with Intern Milan, AC Milan, Barcelona and Real Madrid all reported to be interested in him.
But Drogba claims his decision to leave Stamford Bridge is not set in stone.
'Everyone is sending me far from Chelsea,' he told France Football. 'But what if I stay?
'I'm not as firm and decisive as I was a few months ago.
'My family feel good in London and I do too. I have just bought a beautiful house.
'It doesn't matter to me if people think I don't know what I want.
'It's my career, not theirs.'
If Drogba does leave then the Champions League final against Manchester United tomorrow would be his Chelsea swansong.
While the 30-year-old would love nothing better than to go out with a bang, he insists he is not nervous about the Moscow clash.
'Finals don't scare me anymore,' added Drogba. 'Yes, a few years ago I was still apprehensive about these huge matches, but now I'm used to it.
'The fact that I have fought several finals in England has allowed me to conquer these events and control my emotions.'
Drogba has won three of his four finals in England - only losing this year to Tottenham in the Carling Cup.
He has tasted cup final heartbreak away from the Blues, losing the UEFA Cup final in 2004 with Marseille and two years later missing a spot-kick as the Ivory Coast lost the African Nation Cup final on penalties.
Drogba also commented on his reputation as a diver, once again denying accusations that he is a cheat.
'Since I had the misfortune to say that I sometimes dived, because people pushed me and not because of cheating, I get the feeling that people take me for a cheat,' he said.
'Referees in the Premier League as well as the Champions League come to see me before the matches to tell me `today, we don't dive, eh'?
'I would love to reply `I'm a footballer, not a swimmer', but I think they wouldn't listen.'
