Sao Paulo qualify, Flamengo keeper on target

RIO DE JANEIRO, April 23 (Reuters) - Brazilian champions Sao Paulo qualified for the last 16 of South America's Libertadores Cup with a 1-0 win over Atletico Nacional on Wednesday.

Elsewhere, Flamengo goalkeeper Bruno scored from a free kick in a 2-0 win over Coronel Bolognesi.

Colombian champions Atletico Nacional followed Sao Paulo through from Group Seven after Chile's Audax Italiano, needing to beat eliminated Sportivo Luqueno to qualify, were trounced 4-1.

Brazil's Flamengo, already qualified, guaranteed top spot in Group Four as Bruno joined the trend of goalscoring South American keepers at the Maracana.

Uruguay's Nacional also progressed, beating Cienciano 3-1 in a raucous atmosphere at the Parque Central in Montevideo to finish second in the group.

Wednesday's games completed the line-up for the knockout stages.

Fluminense, Cruzeiro and Santos of Brazil, Boca Juniors, River Plate, San Lorenzo, Estudiantes and Lanus of Argentina, Cucuta (Colombia), LDU (Ecuador), America and Atlas (Mexico) are the other teams to qualify.

Defender Alex Silva headed a 39th-minute winner for Sao Paulo, winners in 2005 and runners-up the following year, at the Morumbi.

The Brazilians topped Group Seven with 11 points, followed by Atletico Nacional on eight and Luqueno and Audax on seven.

Audax, who had beaten Sao Paulo in their previous game, found themselves 4-0 down at halftime against the Paraguayan underdogs.

Juan Abente and Ruben Gigena stunned the Chileans with two goals in the first 10 minutes, Abente was on target again in the 28th and Celso Esquivel made it 4-0 two minutes before halftime.

Carlos Villanueva pulled one back in the 55th minute.

Flamengo, Brazil's most popular club, finished Group Four in style when Bruno scored with a perfectly-placed free kick in the 82nd minute and Obina added a second two minutes from time.

Flamengo finished with 13 points, one ahead of Nacional. Coronel Bolognesi failed to score in their six games, although they conceded only five goals.

Striker Martin Liguera fired Nacional ahead with a volley on the turn six minutes before halftime and Mathias Cardaccio scored with a rising drive from 25 metres early in the second half.

Cristian Guevara pulled one back for Cienciano in the 82nd minute but Diego Vera added a third for Nacional in injury-time, from a backheeled pass by Nicolas Bertolo.
