Man City kids beat Chelsea to win Youth Cup

Manchester City won the FA Youth Cup after beating Chelsea 3-1 at Eastlands to complete a 4-2 aggregate victory. Chelsea went ahead when Ryan McGivern scored an own goal in the seventh minute before City levelled through Ben Mee's close-range header. Vladimir Weiss was causing the Londoners problems and after being brought down 20 yards out, the Slovakian took the free-kick himself which he curled into the corner to give City a 2-1 half-time lead. Chelsea applied the pressure in the second half but could not find the breakthrough and three minutes from time City broke away through Weiss, who was then hauled down in the penalty area. David Ball stepped up to score his 30th goal of the season and seal City's first FA Youth Cup triumph for 22 years. In stoppage time Chelsea's Jacob Mellis was sent off for a challenge on Kieran Trippier, who was carried off.
