Vidic return date set at 'two-three weeks'

Manchester United are breathing a sigh of relief after defender Nemanja Vidic was ruled out for only two or three weeks with a knee injury. The Serbian hardman sustained the injury during Tuesday's Champions League 2-0 defeat of Roma and it had been feared that he would not kick a ball for the rest of the season. Reports suggested the swelling on his knee had been too great to be able to carry out a proper scan but the a club spokesman told the club's official website that 'There is no major damage to left knee, and he will be out for 2-3 weeks.' Vidic will miss the domestic league matches against Middlesbrough and Arsenal and the return leg with Roma. He is expected to return to face Blackburn on 19th April and be ready for the Champions League semi-final and the crucial visit to Stamford Bridge on April 26.
