U.S. women's soccer team regains top ranking

ZURICH, Switzerland -- The U.S. women's soccer team regained the top spot in the FIFA rankings with its victory in this month's Algarve Cup.

The Americans moved ahead of Germany, which had been ranked No. 1 since winning the Women's World Cup last year.

Sweden remained third in the quarterly rankings released Friday, followed by Brazil, Norway, North Korea, France, Denmark, Canada and Japan.
