ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, Feb 17 (Reuters) - Jonathan de Guzman struck on the stroke of halftime to inspire Feyenoord to a hard-fought 1-0 home win against Vitesse Arnhem on Sunday.
PSV Eindhoven, 1-0 winners at Willem II Tilburg on Saturday, are top with 56 points with nine matches remaining.
They hold a nine-point lead over Ajax Amsterdam, who thumped Sparta 6-2 on Friday, Feyenoord and NAC Breda, who won 1-0 at Graafschap Doetinchem on Sunday to secure their seventh successive win.
Rogier Molhoek sealed victory on 75 minutes for Breda, who host Ajax next weekend.
Sixth-placed Groningen beat AZ Alkmaar 2-1 with Marcus Berg opening the scoring for the home side after 29 minutes.
Kew Jaliens equalised six minutes before time but Berg hit the winner from the penalty spot two minutes later after a foul from goalkeeper Sergio Romero.
