Drogba reiterates commitment to Chelsea

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has reiterated he is happy at the club despite previously claiming he wanted to leave.

In October the 29-year-old gave an interview to France Football magazine expressing a desire to move on from Stamford Bridge but very quickly back-tracked, saying he wished he had not made his views public.

Now Drogba, who today will hope to fire the Ivory Coast to victory in their African Nations Cup semi-final against Egypt, has stressed he will continue to give his all for Avram Grant's side.

'I said what I had to say and I think that was understood. The important thing is that my performances on the field have remained the same, or maybe even got better,' said Drogba.

'What counts is giving 100% in a Chelsea shirt. Today, working in a good atmosphere with a common goal is fantastic.

'Winning the Champions League and Premier League - these are the types of challenges that I love and I am happy.'
