A-League finals move a blessing: Kosmina

Sydney FC coach John Kosmina said it was a blessing in disguise that his side is playing the first leg of their A-League minor semi-final in Sydney on Friday night.

After finishing third Sydney FC had the right to play the second leg of the minor semi against Queensland Roar at home but the match was moved due to a Police concert at Suncorp Stadium on Tuesday.

"I'm happy to be here, probably good that we don't get on a plane," Kosmina said after training.

FC have not lost away this season, so should the club win at the Sydney Football Stadium on Friday, they will take plenty of confidence in to the away leg in Brisbane on February 8.

Kosmina, a former captain of the Socceroos, said he was also prepared to end the press conference early on Wednesday as media persisted with questions about the just announced Socceroos squad and not the match this Friday.
