Boost for Roar with Moore set to play

A League leaders Queensland have received a major boost ahead of the biggest game in their history with Roar skipper Craig Moore giving strong indications he'll play against Adelaide United on Sunday night.

Moore said on Friday he would definitely travel to Adelaide on Saturday morning and was confident of playing after an encouraging training run in Brisbane.

The key defender took part in half of the Roar's training session and showed little sign he was struggling with the groin injury that has been plaguing him.

The Roar enter the final round ahead on goal difference of Sydney FC, Central Coast and Newcastle who are all deadlocked on 31 points.

The Roar will also have exciting youngster Robbie Kruse on deck after overcoming a hamstring problem.

But they have lost veteran Stu McLaren for the rest of the season with a serious ankle problem which means he has played his last game for the club.
