Holders Ajax knocked out of Dutch Cup
AMSTERDAM, Jan 16 (Reuters) - Holders Ajax Amsterdam went out of the Dutch Cup on Wednesday, losing 4-2 after NAC Breda hit three goals in 10 second-half minutes.
Kurt Elshot's drive put Breda in front after 21 minutes but Luis Suarez equalised for the visitors from close range in the 66th.
Ahmed Ammi restored the home team's lead a minute later after good work by Anthony Lurling.
Patrick Zwaanswijk headed the third goal before Lurling made sure of Breda's place in the quarter-finals with the fourth.
Suarez then grabbed his second goal of the game with four minutes to go.
Quick Boys Katwijk beat Heerenveen's reserves 3-1 on penalties, after the tie ended 1-1 following extra-time, to become the first amateurs to reach the last eight since 1989.
Gonzalo Garcia-Garcia netted seven minutes from time to earn Heracles Almelo a 1-0 victory over second division Den Bosch.
On Tuesday, Feyenoord brushed aside amateurs Deurne 4-0 while Roda JC Kerkrade beat Excelsior Rotterdam 3-0.
