Premier Showdown - Dec 22/23 & 26/27

The Rest of the World's big fightback appears to be well and truly a thing of the past. Dale Johnson has rediscovered the midas touch of the opening months of the season and has pulled well clear again.

However, with the festive season upon us and four rounds of the predictions game to be played there's no reason to get downbeat.

Who's joining us for a mince pie and a glass of sherry on Christmas weekend? That'll be Sameer Ahmad who's back for a bit of revenge!

Sameer tells us: 'Hi, I'm writing from the U.S. I live in Newington, Connecticut and am 14. I have two brothers (one for Arsenal, the other with Chelsea) and a sister who has no interest whatsoever in football! I will support Man Utd until the end of time.

'I lost last season in a woeful round, but i'm back for more! Bring it!'

Bring it on indeed!

Each week one of our readers, or an ESPNSoccernet Press Pass viewer, has the chance to challenge our two experts.

Soccernet's Premier League Editor, Dale Johnson, and Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the test.

They, along with the challenger, cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared between those level on points.

It's Dale winning again this week, having been helped by Nicklas Bendtner's late goal and the goal that wasn't by Reading's Stephen Hunt. Can anyone stop him?

Table after Round 18:
Dale: 34
Rest of the World: 13
Tommy: 7

So it's on to the Boxing Day fixtures and for this round we're turning to Nickron Defreitas! He's from Kingstown in St Vincent.

He tells us: 'My name is Nickron, I'm 13-years-old from St Vincent. Chelsea is my favourite team although the best coach in the world is gone, Jose Mourinho. Get him back we will need him at some point.'
