BOGOTA, Dec 20 (Reuters) - Atletico Nacional completed a Colombian double after winning the championship with a 0-0 draw at home to modest La Equidad in the second leg of the final.
The Medellin-based club won the two-leg tie 3-0 on aggregate to clinch the Finalizacion championship, the second of two separate tournaments played in the Colombian season.
Atletico also won the Apertura tournament in the first half of the year and became the first team to complete the double since the system was introduced in 2002.
'It's really been a magnificent year,' said Atletico's Argentine coach Oscar Quintabani.
La Equidad, a former works team enjoying their first season in the top flight, failed to muster a shot on goal and, despite starting with a three-goal deficit, fielded three defenders and six defensive midfielders.
Atletico's Jose Amaya and La Equidad's Carlos Gutierrez were sent off after clashing in the first half.
