Premier Showdown - Dec 15/16

Dale Johnson returned to winning ways last weekend, romping home with three correct scorelines to end the Rest of the World's good run of form.

Tommy's still searching for form but perhaps he'll do better as we head into the festive period?

We're heading over to India to find our next competitor, and we welcome Somshekhar Akolkar.

He tells us: 'I am Som writing from Mumbai (Bombay)in India. I am a IT consultant in Capgemini India. I am a big fan of the Gunners. I am predicting Van Persie to net the winner this Mega Sunday...!'

Will his prediction come through and will the ROTW get another three points? There's only one way to find out!

Each week one of our readers, or an ESPNSoccernet Press Pass viewer, has the chance to challenge our two experts.

Soccernet's Premier League Editor, Dale Johnson, and Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the test.

They, along with the challenger, cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared between those level on points.
