PARIS, Dec 17 (Reuters) - Pierre Dreossi dismissed reports he had resigned as coach of Ligue 1 strugglers Stade Rennes on Monday. 'I have not stepped down,' Dreossi was quoted as saying on the club's website. Dreossi is the club's coach and general manager. A club source said on Sunday that he would quit coaching but remain at the club as manager. That might still happen after a meeting between Dreossi, club chairman Frederic de Saint-Sernin and the main shareholders scheduled for later on Monday. Dreossi was appointed Rennes manager and coach when Laszlo Boloni left the club in 2005. Rennes are 13th in Ligue 1 following six consecutive defeats.
