Struggling Sochaux sack coach Hantz
SOCHAUX, Dec 12 (Reuters) - Sochaux coach Frederic Hantz was sacked on Wednesday after the Ligue 1 club dropped into the relegation zone.
French Cup holders Sochaux are 19th in the 20-team league on 13 points from two wins, seven draws and eight defeats.
'FC Sochaux have dismissed Frederic Hantz,' the club said in a statement published on their website before adding that academy director Jean-Luc Rury would take charge temporarily.
Hantz, 41, joined Sochaux at the end of last season to replace Alain Perrin who had moved to Olympique Lyon.
Sochaux are the third club in France's top division to change coach this season after Guy Roux quit as Racing Lens coach in August, and Olympique Marseille sacked Albert Emon in September.
