Ajax go top with victory at Tilburg

AMSTERDAM, Dec 8 (Reuters) - Ajax Amsterdam went a point clear at the top of the Dutch league after winning 3-2 at Willem II Tilburg on Saturday.

Luis Suarez set up Kennedy Bakircioglu in the second minute before Tilburg levelled four minutes later through Kevin Bobson.

Suarez restored Ajax's lead from close range and Klaas Jan Huntelaar created the third for Jan Vertonghen on the stroke of halftime.

Arjan Swinkels pulled one back for Tilburg with a header 15 minutes from time.

Ajax have 31 points from 14 matches, one more than PSV Eindhoven who lost 4-2 at home to Roda JC Kerkrade on Friday.

Third-placed Feyenoord can go level with Ajax if they win at VVV Venlo on Sunday.

Patrick Zwaanswijk, Matthew Amoah and Kurt Elshot scored second-half goals to earn NAC Breda a 3-0 win at lowly Excelsior Rotterdam.

NAC are fifth on 25 points, one more than Twente Enschede who drew 2-2 at Vitesse Arnhem.

Mads Junker twice put Vitesse ahead but Romano Denneboom and Youssouf Hersi replied for Twente.

Igor Gluscevic and Kwame Quansah were on target in Heracles Almelo's 2-0 victory at home to Graafschap Doetinchem, only their second win of the season.
