Henry out for two weeks with back injury
MADRID, Dec 2 (Reuters) - Barcelona's France striker Thierry Henry will be out of action for around two weeks because of a recurrence of a chronic back injury, the Primera Liga side said on Sunday.
Barcelona said that specialist examination had revealed that the 30-year-old suffers from a problem with the discs between several vertebrae in his lower back which provokes pain in his pelvis and upper leg.
The club said the former Arsenal player would follow a special programme of treatment to alleviate the pain and that it was expected he would be available to play again in around 15 days.
Henry missed Barcelona's 2-2 draw with Olympique Lyon in midweek and their 1-1 draw against city rivals Espanyol on Saturday. He has scored five league goals this season.
