Eredivisie: NAC stun Ajax as Feyenoord hit six
AMSTERDAM, Dec 2 (Reuters) - Ajax Amsterdam suffered their first league defeat of the season in a surprise 3-1 loss at home to NAC Breda while Feyenoord thrashed Heracles Almelo 6-0 on Sunday.
An own goal from Jan Vertonghen after 23 minutes put NAC ahead and Matthew Amoah doubled the lead with 21 minutes remaining. Ahmed Ammi added a third before Klaas Jan Huntelaar netted a consolation for Ajax.
PSV Eindhoven, 1-0 winers at Graafschap Doetinchem on Saturday, are top with 30 points after 13 matches, two more than Ajax and Feyenoord.
Roy Makaay opened the scoring for Feyenoord after just 18 seconds and doubled the lead after 26 minutes before Kevin Hofland netted with a header before the interval.
Second-half goals from Andwele Slory, Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Georginio Wijnaldum earned Feyenoord their biggest win this season.
Jakob Poulsen scored a first-half goal to inspire Heerenveen to a 1-0 win at NEC Nijmegen and steer them up to fourth place with 23 points.
Twente Enschede are fifth following a 2-1 home victory over AZ Alkmaar.
Blaise N'Kufo opened the scoring on the stroke of halftime and scored again on the hour after Luke Wilkshire had missed a penalty for Twente.
Graziano Pelle pulled one back 17 minutes from time.
