Palermo sack Colantuono, Guidolin returns
ROME, Nov 26 (Reuters) - Palermo have sacked coach Stefano Colantuono following Sunday's 5-0 defeat at Juventus and reinstated his predecessor Francesco Guidolin.
'Colantuono dismissed, Guidolin returns,' the Serie A club announced on Monday.
Palermo are eighth in Serie A, but they have only won one of their last eight games.
It will be Guidolin's fourth stint in charge of the Sicilian club. The former Monaco boss was at the helm last season until April, when he was fired after a poor run of results only to be brought back for the final two games of the campaign.
In his first term he helped Palermo win promotion from the Italian second division Serie B in 2004 and led them to UEFA Cup qualification the following season before leaving for Genoa.
Colantuono was appointed in June after inspiring Atalanta to an eighth-place finish in Serie A.
