Milan defender missing from Georgia squad

TBILISI, Oct 3 (Reuters) - Georgia will be without captain Kakha Kaladze and midfielder Levan Kobiashvili for this month's Euro 2008 Group B qualifiers against world champions Italy and group leaders Scotland. AC Milan defender Kaladze suffered a thigh injury at the weekend, while Schalke 04's Kobiashvili has a groin injury. Georgia coach Klaus Toppmoeller has called up two newcomers, 17-year-old striker Levan Mchedlidze and 19-year-old goalkeeper Revaz Tevdoradze, in his 23-man squad for the away match against Italy on Oct. 13 and the home fixture with Scotland four days later. Two other teenagers, 17-year-old goalkeeper Giorgi Makaridze and 16-year-old playmaker Levan Kenia, made their international debuts in a 1-1 draw against Ukraine last month. Georgia are sixth in the seven-team group with seven points from nine matches.
