Birmingham midfielder Sebastian Larsson has received his first call-up to the Sweden squad ahead of their upcoming Euro 2008 qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Northern Ireland.
The 21-year-old was named in Lars Lagerback's 23-man squad today after impressing for his club in the Barclays Premier League.
'We've followed Sebastian since he left Arsenal for Birmingham,' Lagerback explained.
'He is one of only a few youngsters who have successfully established themselves without returning home. That shows what kind of a character he has.'
Kennedy Bakircioglu and Max von Schleebrugge have been left out of the squad because of injuries, while striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is suspended for the match against Liechtenstein in Vaduz on October 13.
Sweden will then entertain Northern Ireland at the Rasunda Stadium four days later.
