ATHENS, Sept 23 (Reuters) - Olympiakos Piraeus recovered from their mid week Champions League disappointment to thrash OFI Crete 6-2 in the Greek Super League on Sunday.

Julio Cesar put Olympiakos, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Lazio in their opening Champions League Group C game, ahead after just seven minutes.
OFI levelled shortly after but Olympiakos took charge hitting another four goals before the break, with two each for Lomana LuaLua and Darko Kovacevic.
Predrag Djordjevic added a sixth in the second half.
Xanthi had to wait until the 68th minute to break the deadlock against Asteras Tripolis.
The breakthrough came thanks to a free-kick from Argentine midfielder Mauro Poy. Xanthi doubled their lead just two minutes later with a header from Stavros Lambriakos.
Panathinaikos notched up their first league win of the season, beating 10-man Ergotelis 3-0 in Crete.
