Reading midfielder Brynjar Gunnarsson has signed a new contract which will keep him with the Royals until 2009.
The Iceland international has added an extra year to his current deal.
'I'm really happy the club have offered me this contract extension. It's been fantastic to be part of the success at Reading and I'm looking forward to the rest of another big season here,' said the 31-year-old.
Director of football Nick Hammond added: 'Brynjar has been a consistent and versatile performer for our squad and a big part of our success over the last few years. His performances have earned him this contract extension.'
