Kamara has no regrets about rejecting Hammers

Diomansy Kamara is convinced he made the right decision to join Fulham over London rivals West Ham.

The 26-year-old forward moved to Craven Cottage for £6million from West Brom in the summer and is off the mark with goals in his last two games, his overhead kick on Saturday earning a point against Tottenham.

He is targeting a top-half finish in the Premier League with his new club.

'West Ham wanted me a lot but for me the Fulham project is different,' he said. 'It's a very young team and there is a very strong ambition to finish in the top 10.'

Boss Lawrie Sanchez described the club as entering a 'new era' following the thrilling 3-3 draw against Spurs.

Sanchez signed Dejan Stefanovic, Danny Murphy, Shefki Kuqi and Seol Ki-Hyeon on transfer-deadline day but only Stefanovic was cleared to make his debut against Spurs.

However, the international break means Sanchez will not be working with his full squad again until next week.

'The season has been disrupted big time, the window has closed and I won't see them before Thursday afternoon (next week) before travelling to Wigan on the Friday,' he said.

'We've got three or four new players who haven't met the players. It will take time.'
