FA commission Ramsey statue for Wembley
The Football Association are to commission a bust of World Cup-winning manager Sir Alf Ramsey at Wembley in a bid to inspire current England players.
The bust of Ramsey, who led England to glory in 1966, will be made by sculptor Philip Jackson and is to be situated just outside the dressing rooms of the national stadium.
'It will be a message that England have scaled peaks before, and can scale them again,' FA chief executive Brian Barwick told the Daily Telegraph.
Jackson also designed the statue of World Cup-winning captain Bobby Moore outside the stadium.
