BELGRADE, Aug 15 (Reuters) - Striker Nikola Zigic is likely to miss Serbia's Euro 2008 qualifier in Belgium on Aug. 22 with an ankle injury, Belgrade media reported on Wednesday.
Zigic, who was set to return after missing the two previous qualifiers through suspension, said he would probably be out of action for the rest of the month.
'The swelling on my injured ankle has reappeared and I don't think I will play again before September, otherwise I could be sidelined for much longer,' the Valencia striker said.
'There is a very slim chance I will go to Belgium, perhaps only to support my team mates who are quite capable of winning that match without me.'
Poland lead Group A with 19 points from nine matches, ahead of Serbia and Portugal who have 14 from seven. Finland have 14 from eight while Belgium are on eight points from seven games.
