ESPNsoccernet Experts League

Dom Raynor's lead at the top of the ESPN Experts table remains a slender 26 points, meaning there's still every chance that Kevin Palmer will take the 07/08 title.

However, it would appear that Dale Johnson's season is ending pretty fast. He's now well off the pace - dropping 124 points adrift. That's the difference that Cristiano Ronaldo makes. How Dale must rue not selecting the Manchester United winger.

The big mover is Press Pass pundit Janusz Michallik. He's shot up from seventh to fourth in recent weeks, and is now just 15 points behind Dale. Not too long ago Janusz was a whopping 131 points back from Dale!

Press Pass compatriot Adrian Healy is on the slide, dropping from sixth down to eighth. But there's better news for host Derek Rae who climbs from 13th into the top ten.

Jon Carter is also in poor form and is down two places to sixth.

There's also a special mention for Podcast host Dan Mason who drops four places into 14th.

The Bassinator is making a late charge for respectibility by moving from 20th into 17th and now has Piet Van Leer in his sights.

Throughout the season you'll be able check out if our so-called 'experts' know their stuff by following their progress in our brand new Fantasy game for the Premier League.

The whole ESPNsoccernet team, from online to television to podcast, have selected their squads for 2007/08 and will be battling it out for the ultimate glory of cross-Atlantic office bragging rights.

We'll be bringing you regular updates of how everyone's getting on - both at the top and the bottom of the table. We're bracing ourselves for tales of woe, a litany of excuses and no doubt countless claims of luckless selection.

We've already ruled out one person's stock excuse surrounding the 'failure' of the advanced team system, another way of saying they forgot to set it up at the end of the week! It's an old one that has run and run for seasons... no name will be mentioned.

So on to the roll call for this season's big event. Just who is lining up for celebration and humiliation?
