Coppell buoyed by win over French champions

Reading manager Steve Coppell praised strike duo Shane Long and Kevin Doyle following the 1-0 victory over French champions Lyon. Simon Cox scored the only goal as Reading recovered from Doyle missing an early penalty to claim their first victory of the Peace Cup in Seoul. Coppell said: 'The strength of Shane Long and Kevin Doyle is their pace. Because the pitch was so quick, they caused a lot of problems with their pace getting in and around defenders and behind them. 'We had some good opportunities and maybe a different week when the pitch is slower we would play a different kind of way.'
