Lee McCulloch has withdrawn from the Scotland squad for Wednesday's Euro 2008 qualifier against the Faroe Islands.
The 29-year-old versatile Wigan forward sustained an ankle injury in the 1-0 friendly victory over Austria last week.
Scotland manager Alex McLeish had hoped that McCulloch would recover in time to fly out with the squad today, however medical staff ruled him out.
McCulloch joined Scott Brown, Kenny Miller, Craig Beattie, James McFadden, Iain Turner, Steven Pressley and Russell Anderson among Scotland's injury casualties.
Scotland's big week also got off to a frustrating start in terms of their travel.
The Scottish Football Association revealed their charter plane had been hit by a bird yesterday, meaning it required attention before making the 450-mile trip to Vagar.
That led to a delay in the planned departure, with the scheduled 4pm take-off put back until 6.45pm.
