Ameri Tbilisi beat Zestaponi to retain Georgian Cup
TBILISI, May 26 (Reuters) - Ameri Tbilisi retained the Georgian Cup by beating FC Zestaponi 1-0 in the final on Saturday.
Dimitri Tatanashvili struck the winner on the hour to give Ameri their second consecutive cup victory. Ameri beat the same opponents on penalties in last year's final.
It was the third straight defeat in the final for Zestaponi, who finished just behind Ameri in fourth place in the league this year.
The win enabled Ameri, founded five years ago, to enter the UEFA Cup qualifiers next season.
