D.C. United stuns Olimpia in first leg

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras -- Christian Gomez scored two goals to help Major League Soccer's D.C. United beat Honduras' Olimpia 4-1 on Wednesday night in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup quarterfinals.

Former Olimpia player Luciano Emilio and Facundo Erpen added goals for D.C. United. Juan Manuel Carcamo scored for Olimpia.

"I didn't expect to win by so many goals," United coach Tom Soehn said. "And Olimpia, no doubt, had a bad night."

The second leg will be played March 1 in Washington.
