CHICAGO -- Shannon Boxx and the rest of the U.S. women's soccer team return to training camp Wednesday to gear up for the 14th annual Algarve Cup.
Boxx will see her first action in training camp since major knee surgery last July. The 28-player camp will run through Feb. 21 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
U.S. coach Greg Ryan will select 20 players to travel to the Algarve Cup in Portugal from March 7-14.
Four other veterans who did not travel to China, where the U.S. team won the Four Nations tournament last month, will also be in training camp. They are forwards Kristine Lilly and Abby Wambach, midfielder Aly Wagner and defender Christie Rampone.
