Holland: Ajax steal a march after PSV are held

AMSTERDAM, Feb 11 (Reuters) - Leaders PSV Eindhoven were held to a 1-1 draw by Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday to allow Ajax Amsterdam, 2-1 winners at ADO Den Haag, back into the Dutch title race.

Jason Culina netted a rebound seconds into the second half to give PSV the lead but Haris Medunjanin equalised 14 minutes from time.

PSV, who have collected only one point from their last three matches, remain top on 57 points with 10 matches left.

Ajax, who came from behind at ADO after Santi Kolk's 19th-minute opening goal, are three points behind PSV.

John Heitinga struck on 58 minutes to level the match and 12 minutes later Edgar Davids set up Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for the winner.

AZ Alkmaar are third with 53 points following a 2-0 home victory over Willem II Tilburg on Saturday.

Twente Enschede stayed in touch on 50 points after a comfortable 3-0 home win over Feyenoord.

Defender Jeroen Heubach opened the scoring after 25 minutes with a deflected shot at the near post and a second half double from Kennedy Bakircioglu settled the match.

Feyenoord remain fifth on 42 points.

In the other action on Sunday Fin Peter Kopteff sealed Utrecht's 1-0 home win over NAC Breda 14 minutes before time.
