Watford have confirmed three more signings on transfer deadline day as they attempt to make an improbable escape from relegation out of the Premiership.
Johan Cavalli, Douglas Rinaldi and Cedric Avinel all arrived at Vicarage Road to bring to eight the number of players captured by the Hornets during the transfer window.
Cavalli, a 25-year-old midfielder, has joined the Hornets from French second division club Istres on a free transfer. The Frenchman has signed an 18-month contract.
The Corsican-born Cavalli arrived at Istres in summer 2005 from Spanish side Real Mallorca and has played for Creteil and Lorient in France. He comes in with Brazilian midfielder Douglas Rinaldi who has agreed a six-month loan from Brazilian side Veranopolis EC.
The Hornets have also brought in central defender Cedric Avinel on an 18-month contract from French side Creteil.
The trio join Gareth Williams who arrived at the Hertfordshire club earlier on deadline day plus Moses Ashikodi, Lee Williamson, Will Hoskins and Steven Kabba who all moved to the Hornets arrived during the transfer window.
